Content strategy can be defined as getting the right content, to the right user, at the right time. At Polleni we develop content strategy with every client as part of their brand strategy - to help us work out how their company should write about itself, and what it should write about. It also forms a large part of our brand consultancy process too.

We look at why they are creating content, who they are helping, and how they will help them in a way that no one else can.

First we establish a brand's tone-of-voice - which is the intentional, consistent expression of a brand through words. Tone-of-voice transforms a brand from a flat visual into a three-dimensional personality that engages with, and motivates, your audience.

Then we develop brand messaging - which is a unique expression of 'self' that a brand is trying to convey. Part of brand messaging includes the creation of Mission and Vision statements, as well as the development of key characteristics that resonate the most with a brand's customers.

Once tone-of-voice and messaging is established, we weave it into all copywriting and social media strategy. This could include anything from website and blog content; to the use of certain platforms; and even the choice of certain hashtags and emojis.
